This special event honours outstanding people who consistently and unselfishly invested their time and talents to help change and improve the lives of African people and others within the UK and in Africa. The individual stories of their significant accomplishments are always impressive, moving, and inspirational.
Through the years, the program has become well known and respected, giving distinguished honourees the recognition they so well deserve. Afro Brits Awards continue to enrich the quality of life in our communities

OBJECTIVES
The Afro Brits Awards 2008 has the following objectives:
- To fuse the individual and collective efforts of Africans based in Britain for the promotion and development of Africa
- To use the project as spring board for total commitment to the promotion and development of Africa
- To use the awards as a base for informing the world about Africa.
- To create global opportunities for Achievers in Africa
- To market and bring global Investment for African Products and services
- To provide showcase for the wide variety of African talents and achievements
- To provide global export platform for African Products and Services
- To promote joint ventures for African and the British cultures

The Organisers

 The chief Organiser of the Afro-Brits Awards is Nkosinathi Zvimba who is the product of the African Management Programme which was sponsored by Walter Sisulu through Unisa. He has organised the Premier Awards in South Africa and the Presidential Awards while he was working for Education Africa. Nkosinathi also worked for several newspapers and radio stations in Africa as a football pundit and writer.He is currently working for an Electronic company as a Business Developer focusing on Africa and he has taken all his family time to organise these awards. Nkosinathi holds a degree in Business Communications and a Diploma in e-Business Management.

 Bertha Hadzoi-Zvimba is the main organiser who is doing all the office work, meetings, co-ordination and the day to day running of the awards.
